Seeing as we are heading out next week to Michigan for our family vacation I wanted to make sure I posted this amazing mystery before I go. Have you heard about the mystery of photographer, Megan Abell who found medium format negatives at a thrift store and decided to purchase them and develop them? Well, what she found were these hauntingly beautiful images of women from about the 1950's wading into churning surf with the sun setting over the water. Maybe they stuck with me because it feels like it could be something from the shores of Lake Michigan. I could even envision my grandmother wearing a similar dress and wading out to get a better view of the sunset. I would love to see this mystery solved and learn more about the women in the pictures as well as the person behind the lens.
